Theraputic Massage
Heal the vessel of your soul. Relaxing. Grounding. Mind-Body Connection.
Swedish Massage: A soothing and relaxing massage with fundamentals that use long, gliding strokes to improve circulation, reduce muscle tension, and promote overall relaxation.
Trigger Points: Targeted pressure applied to specific muscle knots or trigger points to alleviate pain, improve range of motion, and release muscle tension, providing relief from localized and referential pain.
Deep Tissue Work: Intense massage focused on deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue to address chronic muscle tightness, relieve tension, and enhance mobility.
My Style
I consider myself a Deep Tissue specialist. I spend most massages in the 4-5 (out of 5) range of the pressure scale. Expect soreness as we tear apart those muscle fibers, freeing the waste products “toxins” from your body. I maintain a deep and slow movement through the complexes that attribute to your described pains.
I tend to lean on the quieter side, a listener, but if you’re interested in conversation I’m more than happy to chat.
At the end of a session, I take extra care to provide my findings directly to you. I spend the session trying to understand the connected issues that are factoring into your pain. I want you to go home feeling better, but to also be able to help yourself in the long run.
Addons
Scrapping: A variety of smooth edged tools designed to break up fascial adhesions, release muscle tension, or improve circulation. Scraping Marks* last 3-7 days.
Cupping: Gliding and blanket cupping techniques to pull muscle fibers with negative pressure. Provides a 4th axis to work on soft tissues issues. Vacuums waste project right out of your muscle fibers and stuck capillaries to get back in your blood stream to improve circulation. Cupping Marks* last 1-4 weeks
Aromatherapy: Natural plant essence defused into the air, mixed with massage oil, or applied directly. Great to address a variety of common health issues in a natural way. Its simply pleasant at its worst, and transformative at its best.
Ice Work: Targeting trigger points and other inflammatory responses with ice cups. This constricts blood capillaries which can expunge muscle waste products. The reduction in sensation in the local area can allow constant triggering muscle nerves to calm.
*Scrapping and Cupping leave marks similar to bruises. However, they will not be tender, as a real bruise is the bursting of capillaries that lead to uncontrolled release of blood into the nearby soft tissues. Scrapping and Cupping do not burst capillaries, but force blood through them while maintain their structure.
